Jewellery care

Every piece of alfredo correnti jewellery is handcrafted, its aesthetic characteristics can change over time, acquiring charm if the jewel is correctly treated.

We do not stabilise silver in its external characteristics, the burnishing may go away with use or return in particular environments. This characteristic is a choice for the maison: jewellery will have a life of its own, it will follow the course of events of its owner, enriching itself with charm.

However, it is important to follow a few simple rules to ensure the longevity of our creations. A properly maintained piece of jewellery retains its characteristics over time.

  • Where possible, it is advisable to remove jewellery before playing sports or activities that may subject it to stress, before going to bed and when coming into contact with chemical substances (e.g. highly caustic soaps, cosmetics, cleaning products). These precautions preserve both the structural integrity of the jewellery and the patina, which is bound to change over time.
  • We recommend storing jewellery in its case as much as possible. Contact between silver and ferrous metals can naturally create oxidation that damages the external patina. In addition, contact with other objects or precious stones can scratch the surfaces even severely.
  • In the event of particularly severe impacts or heavy mechanical stress, maintenance of the stone setting is recommended.
  • Rigid bracelets can be damaged if used improperly. A correctly worn bracelet will not be damaged or altered over time. We advise you never to distort the bracelet size when inserting or removing it from the wrist. For further information, please consult the following guide on  how to wear rigid bracelets >
  • We recommend cleaning your jewellery with soap and water, very soft bristle brushes and woollen cloths.
